The residents have complained to the local Council regarding the practice of heavy vehicles parking in the local streets of the town and not using the truck stops and parking facilities closer to the border (into Lesotho). The Council has approached the Association in this regard and has requested the RFA to communicate with its Members to resolve the situation.
There has been a spike in questionable actions by various traffic authorities or “authorised” authorities and companies over the last few months, and the Association expects this pressure to increase as the Festive Season approaches which will result in normal administrative support to be reduced due to employees taking leave.
